Christina was the nanny for our 15 month year old boy at our hotel in Ibiza in September and she was amazing! The best holiday nanny we have ever had and we have had many! Our boy was happy to be left with Christina from day one, which is unusual for him. Christina went out of her way to do extra things for us like go to the supermarket to buy baby food, do our laundry and recommend good restaurants. She also helped find other nannies for our friends. She was completely trustworthy and reliable which allowed us to have a very relaxing holiday too. I would definitely recommend Christina and would 100% use her when we are in Ibiza again.

First things first – message the prospective babysitter or nanny about any past childcare experience they may have, and ask about references from prior families. Then you can check in with the other parents to see what their impression was of the sitter.

In order to come up with an appropriate rate, you should first take into account the minimum wage for your area. Then, you might consider offering a higher rate of pay to keep things fair if you’re asking for any help with things like tutoring or chores around the house - or if you know your kids can be a handful for even the most patient of sitters!
